Sophomores

Sophomore Class Progress

This year the class of 2012 has been working hard to serve the class and support our funds in preparation for the funding of Winterball and the Prom the following year.

In response to the student body's opinions on more interesting big homerooms, we began to ask anyone in the class if they would like to showcase their talents during big homeroom in the Auditorium. The first two performances were successful and a lot of fun! During big homeroom in the gym, we held a game of dodgeball and earth ball against communities. The earth ball competition brought about a great amount of community spirit and again, was lots of fun. In this way we hope to continue charging up the sophomore class with loads of class spirit!

We have ordered class t shirts from a manufacturer that produces tees made out of 100% organic cotton and bamboo. The shirts have already been distributed to the class.

There have been regular homeroom rep meetings occurring once a month where we discuss school related issues and ideas for fund raising. The homeroom reps have contributed their time through helping out with a Worlds Fair shift with the money dedicated to the Sophomore class.

In order to raise more funds for our class we are planning a gaming fund raiser. This includes paying to play video games with other fellow students during break periods at school. By doing so, we hope to create new friendships amongst the players through multi-player games as well as gain class funds.

We will also be hosting the Valentines Dance this year in February.
